Pool Day!
We made our first trip to the pool for the 2012 Summer Season!! The kids were so excited! Bentley loved it and we lasted almost 3 hours!! Such a great afternoon! I love this time of year and I am so looking forward to lots of long lazy hot days spent splashing in the pool with my precious little people!! :)

Bentley LOVED the fish water slide! It was just his size :)

He also loved all the water that squirted out! And no we weren't letting drink it! Ick!

Diving sticks! Woot! :) And Mal already found her same buddy from the pool last summer! :)

My sweet Whitney! She still won't put her head under water but we are making improvements...the back of her hair was wet and she stood in water that came to her chest! ;)

My precious Mallory,
Today was your last day of first grade. I love this picture I took of you sitting at your desk drinking your slushie from Miss Buie. I love you so much and I am so proud of the year you have had and the little girl you are. You are so sweet, loving, bright, and compassionate. I miss you so much when you are gone all day but I love seeing you grow and watching you learn and explore. I love watching you make friendships and learning life lessons. People say that you look like daddy but that you have my personality. I like to think you have the perfect combination of us. Just the way God intended. I am so excited to spend the summer together! I love all of our talks and all the facts you discover and love to share with me! :) You just checked a book out from the library on how things are made and we were reading all about oil paints. I love the look in your eyes and all over your face when you discover something new.

This was a bittersweet day for you and me both. It's always a little hard on mommy's heart when you grow a year older. It was a little sad for you because you loved Miss Buie SO much. You had the best class and the best teacher this year. Really and truly every child deserves to experience a teacher like her. She loved you for who you were, met you where you were at and always listened to everything you had to say. She is full of compassion for each of her students and truly loves them and cares about them. She was a blessing to you and in turn to me. I will miss her wholeheartedly and pray that we can always find a teacher with the same qualities. Thank you Miss Buie! You are loved by the Graybeal family!!

I love you precious daughter and I am so happy God made you ours! xxoxoxo
Mommy

I heart Pinterest....for real people! I totally love it! And I am not a pinner...I have lots of friends that spend time pinning ideas...I have a handful of pins but have completed lots of projects ;) I am more of the hop on there and search for something specific...like "end of school year treats" find what I want to do...and off to create! Some may call me "over the top" but really its the teacher in me! I have to keep my crafting and kids activities alive ;) For Mal's last day of school I made these treats for the class...little sand buckets with a shovel and in the bag with the shovel was gummy works and whopper! It said "I hope you DIG your summer!" Don't you love it? Such a cute idea...thank you pinterest!!

Talent Show!!!!
Mallory was in the Talent Show this year at Blackbob. She and her best friend Charlie danced together to a song from Shake It Up (a Disney Channel show) called TTYLXOX (Talk to you later hugs and kisses) It's a pretty cute song...the chorus goes something like "Be be be my BFF cause IDK what's coming next" and goes on to talk about sticking together through it all. They made all the moves up themselves and practiced hard together. I was so impressed!! They didn't want any grown up help ;) They picked the costumes and Grandma Terri made the skirts...they did awesome! No stage fright or anything!! :) I only have pics of the before and after because I video taped during the "show"

Mal all ready to head to school on the big day!

Mal and Charlie sitting in the performer area waiting to go on stage! :)

After their performance back over in the waiting area doing the "Macarena" during a stretch break! :)

The little BFF's they did it!!! :)

Deanna Rose Again!? Yes, Please!!! :)

We seriously can't get enough of playdates at the Children's farmstead! This day was really fun! We had planned on meeting our good friends the Rider's there and then we got the added bonus of the Adam's joining us too! I love time spent with such good friends!! Looking forward to spending lots of time with these amazing ladies this summer!!

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Bubble Day!
I had SO much fun spending my afternoon with the Blackbob first graders on Bubble Day! Such a cute idea! There were different stations set up with all kinds of bubble activities. They also made sidewalk chalk in the class and then colored the playground with the chalk they had made ;) Love it!
My friend Tina and I ran the bubble art station together...it was tons of messy fun!! They blew bubbles in the paint bubble solution until the bubbles were high enough to press their paper down on for bubble designs! The kids LOVED it! Okay...I totally loved it too ;)

Mal at the sidewalk chalk station...purple was her favorite!

Mal and her friend Jason at this station they made their own bubble wands out of pipe cleaners and then tried them out! :)

Mal at our bubble art station :)

The kids LOVED this...giant bubbles with a hullahoop in a baby pool!! :)

Thank you to the first grade teachers....y'all ROCK!!! :)

We had a good buddies Max and Cooper over last week for an afternoon of WATER play!!! The kids had a blast with the sprinkler, slip n'slide and water shooters! My favorite was Bentley's expressions :) So thankful for warm sun, laughter, good friends, and great conversation with my bestie! :)
