Oh how the Lord provided for us on our vacation! My mom said it so well she she told me. "Way back when I booked this vacation, I know the Lord already knew how much we would all need to be together." My family grew up vacationing for a week every summer at Fillenwarth Beach on Lake Okoboji. We went year after year with all of my dads family. As we grew older fewer people were able to make it and the tradition slowly stopped. But as adults we just couldn't not take our family back to our favorite summer spot!!
So years ago, I believe the summer Scott and I got engaged we started going back every few years. The girls have gone 4 times now and this was the first summer for all 3 boys and Kevin!! Oh be still my heart!!! Our family has grown and grown! What used to be my parents and 3 little girls is now a family of 13 soon to be 14!! It is beyond words I can come up with to describe the fun we had!!! Arts and Crafts, Get Acquainted Party, Sun Runner Cruises, Water Skiing, Million Dollar Cruise, Chocolate Tasting, Beer Tasting, Wine Tasting, Champagne Tasting, sand castle building, swimming, family dinners, family breakfasts, the list goes on and on...and includes a "Ladies of The 80s" dance party/concert and of course lots of Nutty Bars, and Sugar Shack!! I have almost 500 pictures of the week...so I just went through and picked some favorites!! :) Thank you Lord Christ, for my Fun, Crazy, Laugh out Loud, Love like nothing else, Christ loving, truth telling, AMAZING...FAMILY!!! I am SO thankful for them!!!!! Love you and miss you like crazy my loves!!! xoxoxo
