Thankful Hearts!!!

Hello to our dear family and friends from Texas!

I just wanted to share with you how thankful our family is for a miracle in our lives this past Friday. While the girls and I were at Vacation Bible School there was an explosion at Scott's work about 10 feet from where his office is located. Scott was not in his office....nor was anyone at the "required" meeting that was supposed to be taking place right next to the area that exploded (something had come up and they were working in another area). Not one person was injured. Had they been where they were "supposed" to be I can't even think about what the situation would be right now. Scott along with about 1400 other people were on top of their building working on something when they felt the explosion...not knowing where it came from or why the building was shaking...they assumed it was collapsing and quickly all tried to get out....they then felt a second explosion and thought for sure the building was falling...then they saw the signal that showed where it was coming from. God's hands were at work on Friday morning in so many ways....but I am overwhelmingly thankful that Scott was not where he should have been at that moment...Scott said, "No one can believe everyone is okay...a miracle happened...people should have been/could have been killed"

Dear God, thank you for everyones safety, thank you that Scott came home safe to our family. Thank you for taking care of us. Amen.

This weekend we went to Corpus Christi, Port A, and Padre Island!!!! It was totally last minute when Scott found out he didn't have to work this weekend. We found a hotel available on the Bay in Corpus (everything in Port A or Padre was booked) but this turned out to be such an AWESOME way to do it because we got to spend time at all 3 places.....We had a great time and we will be going back soon!!!! :-)

Lexi turns 3

One of the girls best buddies, Lexi, had her 3rd birthday party Friday night. The girls had a great time and so did the parents ;) The best birthday parties are at someone's home with Mexican food and cocktails! Happy Birthday Lexi!

VBS continues...

We finished our VBS Crocodile Dock week on Friday! What an amazing week! 1400 kids having a blast learning/exploring stories from the bible! I had the best time out in the preschool games tent! 4 year olds have such awesome stories to tell!!!! :) I loved being in the worship center dancing with Whitney and watching all the precious children dance and sing. I am so glad we were able to be a part of it! Love to you all!

Here is a little clip of Whitney with her class at VBS... she was allowed out in the aisle to dance since I was there ;) Her teachers put all the kiddos in one of those big red buggies that holds 9 kids and they come over and watch the worship :) TOO CUTE!!!!

Crocodile Dock

We are busy this week at Vacation Bible School!!!!!!! We are having a FANTASTIC time! Mallory is in the preschool group, Whit is over in the nursery with all of the 2 year olds and I am running the preschool games! Yikes :) It has been fun and I love having Mallory's group come through. I also enjoy going into the worship time and seeing both the girls in there with their classes just dancing their little hearts out praising the Lord! Whitney said....dance for Jesus! :) Whit's pics are a little blurry she was dancing so fast I could hardly catch her :) I wanted to get a picture of Mal walking by holding on to the "swamp vine" for my mom....I can remember helping with VBS when Mal was a baby and mom saying how fun it would be when Mal was walking around holding onto the rope with her little class :) I hope you enjoy mom! We love you and miss you! XOXOXO

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Happy Birthday to my mommy! I wish I was there to celebrate with you today! I love you so much and I am sending happy birthday wishes and birthday hugs from Texas! I hope you had a wonderful day and spent some time enjoying yourself! I hope you enjoy my picture of choice of the two of us....it seems as though I am always behind the camera and we have a picture shortage of the two of us together. Now, I do have more recent ones but when I ran across this one it made me smile. You are such an amazing mom and I know that if I am 1/2 the mom to my kids that you were and still are to me that we will do great! Hugs and Kisses can't wait to see you soon!

Happy Father's Day Scotty!

We had a great day together and Scott didn't even get a call from work:) Yeah! We took Scott out to brunch this morning and then we spent the afternoon at the Sea World water park. We had a GREAT time! Mal loved riding the huge water slide with Scott and crashing into waves in the wave pool. Whit preferred splashing and jumping in the zero depth entry and we all loved floating around the lazy river....Mal wanted to get out and go to a ride and Whit said "NO! I am staying on my boat!" so funny! I took some videos but Scott said, "Babe I bought you that camera to take videos of the kids...not the fat white guy in the pool!" he is too funny! :)

Thanks for being the best husband and father Scotty! You take such amazing care of us and we love you so much! Here is to many more years of wonderful Father's Days!

In the Wiggles World at Six Flags they have a Wiggles show (without the guys of course) but the kids still loved it....Whit was dancing and singing and she kept yelling....DOROTHY!!! (that would be Dorothy the Dinosaur for all you non-toddler parents ;) ha!) She had SO MUCH FUN! After the show you got to meet them and take a picture...after all the excitement Whitney would only stand back and wave...so we have a picture of Mal with them but not Whit...silly girl :) But I did take video of Whit jamming out with the wiggles.... a few videos actually but I just put up some favorites :) ENJOY!!! The girls and I just got back from a fun day at Six Flags Fiesta Texas with friends. We had a blast! The kid area there is Wiggles World....they LOVED this! Especially Whit...she is way into the wiggles :) We also went to the water park they have...what an awesome time :) Thanks for inviting us Polly it was great!!!
