Princess Make Up!

Mallory got some princess make up at her birthday party today and she and Whit did not waste anytime getting into it :) After they finished giving each other a make over they decided it was daddy's turn...he did wear some yellow lipstick and looked fantastic but didn't want it on film :-) Next it was mommy's turn and I was lucky enough to have the full treatment by the best make up artists ever! :-) I think we all look pretty fabulous!!! Hugs from Texas!

Sing Praise!

"Give thanks to the Lord our God and King his love
endures forever for he is good, he is above all
things his love endures forever sing praise, sing praise"

I just have to share with all you how thankful I am
for a blessing in our lives this week.
My sister Stephanie was driving back to Kansas City for
the weekend during some rain and her car hydroplaned
and she was unable to control the car. She said she
was just praying the whole time and said "someone"
probably her"guardian angel" turned the wheel away
from the concrete wall and instead the car spun and
went down into a ditch halfway into a pond. She said
she was just waiting for the pain to come to be
injured in some way and there was nothing. She was
perfectly fine. Then as she waited on the side of
the highway down in a ditch for the tow truck to
arrive 3 different strangers stopped to check on her.
The tow truck driver was so kind to her and drove
her back to the garage and got the car fixed up and
back on the road and only charged her $17.50.
I am in awe of this miracle. Someone had their arms
wrapped around my baby sister on Thursday night and in
my heart I know it was Jesus.
I love each and every one of you and thank God for
you everyday.

Nail Salon

This afternoon after Mal's party I was going to go have a manicure and just enjoy an hour out...but Mallory really wanted to come with me...Scott (totally not getting the hour of quiet) said, "Can't she have her nails painted? I am sure she would love it!" I was a little annoyed at the time but I have to say Mal was "perfect" at the nail salon and we had and AWESOME time. She was so polite and grown up and sat in her own chair talking to me and the other ladies. She picked out her own nail color, purple....her FAVORITE! :-) Then we sat with our nails under the dryer together. I had a GREAT time and I must admit I enjoyed it much MORE than an hour to myself. I can't believe how fast she is growing up!

Mal's Birthday Party

We had Mal's birthday party today! It was our final birthday party for 2009! We have been partying for 6 weeks! :-) Mal had a great time with all of her friends! We are so excited we have some new friends that were able to come and celebrate with us! We had the party at Funtastic Playland which is Mal's FAVORITE play place. She picked a princess theme...of course! :-) We even had a pinata....I guess that makes us "official" San Antonions :-) I must admit it was pretty fun and we are thinking we may have to work that into our Kansas parties in the years to come! I was a little bummed that when we went to pick up the cake it was not the one Mal had picked out but....she didn't mind and it was still cute and yummy. We had a great time and just feel so overwhelmed and thankful for all the blessings in our lives.

Family Birthday Party!

We had a wonderful time last night celebrating Mal's 4th birthday! She picked what we were having for dinner and she chose "Red Bird" which is her FAVORITE most of you probably know it as Red Robin :-) She LOVED her chocolate milk and grilled cheese! As you can see from Whit's face she wasn't loving it b/c she was to busy worrying that "Red Bird" the character was going to come out to visit :-) We went home after dinner and Mal opened her presents and then we had cake :) She picked out a cookie cake and we all enjoyed it :-) Mal loved her gifts and as you can see Whitney got busy playing with the soccer goal :-) They are so much fun! Love you guys!

Happy 4th Birthday Mallory!

Our precious Mallory Suzanne is 4 today! I can hardly believe how fast the last 4 years have gone! Every year I say, "This is the best age" and with each passing day I think that about the next stage. She is such a joy in our lives! We are so blessed and we thank God for her every day! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PALLY MALLY!

Little Girls

We had a great time last night meeting some friends for dinner at a fun BBQ place that had an awesome outside eating area with a huge playground for the girls. Each couple has 2 little girls about the same ages so the 6 girls had a GREAT time playing together! They LOVED the tire swing!!! SO CUTE! There was a lot of Pink, Hair bows, and loud SQUEALS!!!! Love it! :-) The food was good but of course there is no competition for Kansas City BBQ!!!!! LOVE YOU GUYS!

Sunny Saturday!

We tried to take the girls to the zoo yesterday morning and it turns out there was some kind of an event going on and we couldn't get anywhere NEAR the zoo...so we found a nice little park and let them play for a while. Then we stopped at Lowe's and got some flowers to plant in our gorgeous red flower pot from Aunt Amy and we also found a smaller coordinating pot. We planted flowers and then Mal decided she wanted to wash daddy's car (which is driven on a construction site everyday) so she started getting muddy and decided to wash herself instead :-) We had a great time enjoying ourselves outside all day! :-)

Star Wars Party

Friday night we went to a Star Wars birthday party for a little boy in Mal's preschool class...this was pretty hilarious because Mal and Whit have no idea what Star Wars is...they were suppose to dress in costume so we just came as princesses which is what all the other little girls from school did as well. The girls had a lot of fun with the games :-) As you can see Whit was not to into it and prefered to be held by us :-) They were just a little unsure of all the Star Wars "stuff" I was glad my friend Erin and her girls were there to experience it with us :-) So fun!

Day at the Park

We made it safely back to San Antonio Tuesday evening and have been doing well. We were so excited to see Scott and it was nice to have our family back together....but I still miss all of my Kansas family so much....Love you guys!!!!
The girls and I had a GREAT time at the park today! It was a gorgeous sunny 80 degrees and we were the only people at the park! The girls had a blast running around...Mal's favorite thing to do was CLIMB and Whit's favorite thing was SWINGING! :-) Love to you all!
