Sunday my first born and I headed out for some time together. I so cherish the moments I get to be one on one with each of our kiddos. Big Sis and I headed out and go her hair cut...well trimmed. She was very happy it looked the same. "Perfect...just the same the way I love it" :)

After her hair cut we headed out to take some 7 year portraits. That's right 7...our first born will be turning 7 on Friday. Wow! I don't know how that happened.

We had a great time together...crazy wind and all. She made me laugh...I made her giggle. I love this age. We have so much fun together. I don't know where the last 7 years have gone but I know that I have loved every minute of it.

Of course looking at these photos made me cry...my sweet baby girl. I remember the first time I saw you. I love you more every day...if that is even possible. You are so beautiful to me. Inside and out. You are a treasure. Truly a gift and I am so blessed to be your mom.

Psalm 25:10

St. Patrick's Day!! :)
Saturday night we went to a get together at our good friends the O'Brians..they just finished their basement and gave it a "pub decor" with a bar and all. How fitting to have their "Grand Opening" of O'Brians Pub on St. Partrick's day!!!

A good time was had by all...their daughters Maddie and Rylee are good buddies with our girls so they always have a great time :) Sadly miss Maddie was sick! We missed you sweet girl! But we still had a good time and we attempted a family photo with the tripod before we left....

This is what we got...I am not complaining :) My 4 favorite people all in one shot...I will take when I can get it !! :)

"May he grant you your hearts desire and may he fulfill all of your plans"
Psalm 20:4

Play dough making time :) On Friday of Spring Break we had a low key fun filled craft day! We watched Leo for the afternoon so the house was full of happy crazy kids with lots of laughter a squeals! :)

Believe it or not running around with 4 precious kiddos those were the only pictures I had for Friday...and I just think I should take a moment to say how lovely Whit Grace looks in her play dough making picture :) ahahah! I love that girl!

Spring Break Day 4
We met up with Whit's preschool bestie and her mom (my friend Carrie) and her little sister Lauren who is the same age as Bentley. We went to Mahaffie Farmstead for a "Living Day at the Farm"

I had not been to Mahaffie since I went on a field trip there back in elementary school. They have added a lot and it was really fun!!

The girls got to grind their own corn and then feed it to the chickens! They go to tour the kitchen of the house and help wash dishes..they waited and waited for the water to warm up...they couldn't understand why it took so long for the fire to heat the water.

We got to take a ride in the stage coach...we took pics inside but I totally forgot to take a picture of the coach itself! Bummer!

Bentley's favorite activity was running wild on the farm!!

Carrie and I even got to ride in the Stagecoach with the little ones :) It was so much fun! We had a great time and enjoyed a picnic lunch just in time before clouds rolled in :)

Spring Break Day 3 (afternoon)

So after picking up our best guy and refreshing him with a nap we headed down to a our favorite little neighborhood park :) We have been going there every day recently! It's so awesome to have it just down the road! And you almost always run into a friend or two :)

On Wednesday afternoon the girls ran into quite a few friends and had a great time playing while Bentley and I are were sliding over and over and over ... :)

They used their sand toys along with their hands and feet to make a hole so deep and big they not only  "FOUND WATER" but they were able to completely fit inside of it. They had a total blast and were a complete mess...but hey the messier they are the more fun they had...right? :)

Ephesians 5:20

Spring Break Day 3

Wednesday we went to Paint Glaze and Fire....little man spend a fun morning playing with Grandma Terri :) The ceramics shop would not have appreciated his cuteness ;)
The girls LOVED this activity! They both say its there favorite thing from the week! Mal's bestie from school joined us! The three of them get along so well together that it worked out great!

Mal chose a dog treat jar...of course its not for dog treats "that would be silly mommy" she chose it because dogs are her favorite animal and she can keep "treasures" inside! :)

Whit Grace chose a butterfly piggy bank! She is super excited to see how it turned out "I really want to see all my polka dots...they got a little downy...you know drippy...I think that is going to look awesome!"

Silly friends trying to display their artwork...however its hidden behind them. I guess we will have to wait for the big reveal when we go to pick them up! :)

"Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast loves endures forever."
Psalm 107:1

Spring Break Day 2
We headed out to the Kansas City Zoo to enjoy the gorgeous 80 degree sunny day! We were so excited Auntie Amy and Cousin Leo could join us! I am so in love with this pic of the 4 kiddos...framer for sure!!

I was luck to get one with all 4 before little man slipped away :) He LOVED looking at the animals and I didn't let him down here and there...

How cute is that? He did spend a lot of quality time riding in his very favorite form of transportation...his red wagon :) We had the best day! Thanks for coming sister...and getting us to the front of the insane 500 people deep line with your fabulous Friends of the Zoo membership...that rocked! :)

Spring Break Day 1

We started out our week with a art class and a morning a Kidscape!  We had such a fun time!! I managed to get a few pictures but for the most part I was busy crafting, playing, and of course chasing :) If you haven't checked out Kidscape I highly recommend checking it out. Its located inside the Johnson County Museum.

Mal describing her 3-D art picture "its a beautiful purple princess and her maids are fanning her to keep her cool" say what?? Hilarious...I don't know where she comes up with some of these ideas ;) hahah!

The kids totally love it...there is a farm area, store, library, hospital, arts and crafts, golf, Wii, fishing, and best of all A STAGE with curtains, working lights, costumes...the works!! SO much FUN!

B loved the farm area especially the tractor!

My little farmers! :)

We followed our morning up with a playtime and a  happy meal and then went to pick out new glasses for Whit...she chose pink!! Who's surprised? :) We pick them up today so pictures to come!

Look at that face! Oh my precious Whitney you can not be starting Kinder in the fall!! This Mama is SO not ready for it. You are my little love bug...my best pal...my favorite shadow that I miss so terribly when you aren't there. Good thing they have half day kinder in Kansas!! That will make it easier on me to have you with me for most of the day! ;)

You had the best time at kinder round up! I was so nervous! I am very protective of you. You are so outgoing with our little family but you are extremely shy around others. You are such a bright girl and you have done so amazing catching up on the things you were missing from before you had your glasses. I am just so proud of you and I am a bundle of nerves thinking about sending you off into the hands of a teacher. I know you will do awesome! I just wish I could be with you! :)

Look at that face! You were having so much fun doing a letter find with another incoming kinder girl! You were so excited and have been talking about it a lot since that night. But you still say "Good thing I get to be  home for lunch during kindergarten because I would miss you too much" and every Thursday when we are getting ready for preschool you say "But I can't go today I already missed you yesterday"  (you go on MWTH)....MeLt my HeArT!! I love you so much my little monkey!!

These pictures pretty much speak for themselves :) I had the BEST time reading to Mallory's class dressed as the Cat in the Hat during Read Across America week. I made some Pinterest inspired Cats hat cupcakes that the kids enjoyed eating while I read. I just adore having opportunities to be involved in our kids classrooms. I will cherish the memories always and I hope my kids will look back and smile when they remember too :)
So I know I recently mentioned how my favorite way to spend the day is outside in the sunshine with our precious kiddos... but maybe I am really undecided...a cool rainy day inside at "Mal and Whit's" or "Whit and Mal's" Fairy beauty shop is really fabulous and it may also be my favorite way to spend the afternoon. Of course this usually takes place during nap time because a certain little toddler enjoys messing up the salon ;) Just look at these girls....awww!! LOVE IT!!! and just look at our fab make up!! There was nail polish and glitter involved to of course! One of Whit's favorite things to say for make up or art projects is "Perfect....now it just needs a touch of glitter!!!" Thats my girl!!! :)
