Saturday we went over to our friends house for a wedding reception...we had a great time and are so excited for the happy couple! Here are a few pics of the girlfriends ready to go...check out Whit's shirt...I LOVE IT! :)
We miss this guy...

Like crazy and can't wait to pick him up from the airport in 2 DAYS!!!!
I don't know who is more excited the girls or mommy :)

So those of you that know me well...which you probably do if you look at our blog ;) Know that I LOVE a good project...if it is crafty and/or involves Hobby Lobby and bargain hunting I am all over it...if it adds organization to my life I love it even more...

I have been oogling over the Pottery Barn kids backpack/bench storage system for years and since Mal is starting kindergarten I thought it was time I try to make one on my own. So instead of $700 I spent under $100 Woo-hoo!

One used bench from an awesome resale furniture store...

A week of sanding and 2 coats of black paint and primer...

Some 70 cent ugly dog hooks
Some super cute fabric and a little Modge Podge
And VOILA....
I also added a cork board, dry erase weekly planner and  a cute family frame :) I can't wait to put this in the entry way of our next home!
The other day we had a play date at Lil' Monkey Bizness...which is one of the girls very favorite places to go :) I got a few pics of them in action! :) And look who dropped by....

LEO!!!!!
The girls and I went with my dad to a work function last week. There was bowling...one of the girls favorite activities! :) They had the best time! Papi helped Whit and she was all about beating her big sis...my dad was cracking up because when he went up with Whit to help her throw the ball she was chanting "I'm going to beat Mallory" which she did but I kept saying it was a tie they both did great...Papi said I don't know I am pretty sure Whit won :) Ha! That is the truth...I guess it has been a few years since my sisters and I was were little. When you are 3 and 5 ties make mommy's life a much happier place :) ha! We had the best time! Thanks for inviting us Papi! We love you!
My favorite peeps in Kansas :)  Love having some family time!
The girls are having so much fun with Leo spending the days with us on Tuesday and Thursday. They both totally adore him and they are really excited he can sit up and play toys with them :) Okay he sometimes tips a little so Auntie Sarah gives him a little help but the girls helped him out for these pics. He is just so stinkin' cute...we love him so much!

Our little Whitney Grace now has glasses! She is such a happy little thing...it is like she can suddenly see everything so clearly and never knew what she was missing before! I noticed her right eye crossing inward and called the doctor and we had to wait over a month to get in. The poor little sweetie had to have the full exam including having her eyes dialated. We were so glad we hurried in and had her checked out...turns out she is pretty far sighted. She picked her own glasses...there was hundreds of choices and she had her heart set on these Shrek "Princess Fiona" glasses. We decided she was going to have to love them to want to wear them all the time. There has been no problem getting her to wear them she is so excited about them :) I of course think she looks pretty darn cute as well :)

A huge thank you to Scott's mom for watching the girls while we were on vaca in Florida! We had the best time and it was possible because we knew the girls were in such great care! They had a blast playing with grandma, going bowling, playing at the park, swimming, and eating at their favorite place...Red Robin. Mal has been so excited about finding daddy's old cabbage patch doll and has been carrying it around with her quite a bit :) Love it! Thank you again Terri!

I just returned Monday night from our anniversary trip to Destin, FL...Scott and I had the best time together. It is the first time we have taken a real vacation without kids since they were born. It was so much fun to just relax and enjoy being together and doing whatever we felt like whenever we felt like doing it! We spent most of our days on the beach and our evenings going out for nice dinners and watching movies...we even went mini golfing :) It was amazing! I am so thankful for Scott, our love, our marriage and our children. I feel so blessed to be sharing my life with my soul mate and best friend. I love you baby!! xoxoxoxo
And may the Lord make you to increase and excel and overflow in love for one another and for all people, just as we also do for you.
We were able to see Auntie Lauren for a quick visit over Fourth of July weekend. She was so sweet taking the girls to the mall and letting them pick out some special surprises :) She spent the afternoon playing with them while I was running errands for our trip. Thanks Auntie Lauren! We love you!

"Giving of thanks is always appropriate. We should be thankful to people for all they do, as well as to God.
When should we give thanks? Continually!" Ephesians 5:4
The girls spent a special day with Papi planting flowers. They went with him to pick out the flowers and learned all about how to plant them correctly. They had the best time :) They even got their own tools and watering cans. I  love seeing them spend time with my dad...SO SWEET!!!!!
Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

The girls finished their summer dance classes and on the last day they gave a little performance for the parents. Seriously, cutest thing ever!!! They were just the sweetest little things. Mal was a perfectionist with each move and Whit was busy waving and smiling at me and taping her shoes :) I love their differences it just makes them so special and unique. They both are just the most precious little people! How blessed we are!!!!!!!!!!!!
