Mimi and the little ladies

We just got home from such a fun day at Crown Center with Mimi, GG, Aunt Amy, and Aunt Stephanie! The girls had a great time seeing the Lego Display, going to the Hallmark Visitor Center, Picking out treats from the candy store, and the highlight was Kaliediscope!!! I can't tell you how much fun we had! You will quickly understand from the pictures below :-)

Fun in the RAIN

The girls were pretty excited about the rainy afternoon today!!! Whit had to put on all her rain gear (which was here because we never need it in SA) They had a great time splashing around and being silly...Mally had a good time actually soaking herself head to toe! It was pretty cute...we aren't totally sure what to do with ourselves and dreary rainy afternoons :) Now if we could just send this rain to Texas....

Scrapbook Time!!!!

Last night I went and met my best friend Katie at Archivers and we scrapbooked for 3 hours :-) It was great to get some pages done uninterupted but more than that it was so awesome to spend some time with Katie! As most of you know Katie and I have been best friends since we were 5... She was the Maid of Honor at my wedding and I was the Matron of Honor at hers and she is also Mallory's Godmother. I love the special bond that we share and I was just telling Katie last night that after spending the day with Amy and Mom and then the evening with her I just feel so overwhelmingly blessed to have such amazing women in my life that I can call my best friends. I love my Texas girls and I am having a fantastic time getting to know all of them but there is just something about those lifelong relationships that are just so wonderful...like you are 100% yourself the good, bad, and the ugly. It is always so rejuvenating to spend time with them. I love you so much Katie and I am so thankful for all our history and our amazing friendship that withstands all the storms. Hugs and Love

Just Because....

Just because I am in love with my precious girls I had to put up these pics of Miss Whitney Grace wearing my shoes and lounging in the chair she stole from Mimi!!! :-) Yes I know... I am over the moon for my girls...I am the paparazzi (as Amy likes to say) xoxox

Uncle Bench and Whit

The girls best buddy Uncle Bench came to play Saturday afternoon following the stick ball game. They wore him out playing hide and go seek amongst many other games. Whit introduced Uncle Bench to The Wiggles....he wasn't a big lover of the Wiggles but he loves Whit Grace enough to hang out with her while she watched them ;) Too Cute!!!! He also pulled an amazing hide and go seek move where he called Mallory from his cell phone in his hiding spot and then appeared out of no where. Mal now keeps saying Uncle Bench is magic!!! Too funny! Love you Mikey!

Stick Ball

Saturday afternoon we went out to the Altieri family stick ball game....Uncle Matt was missing but Uncle Bench was there :) The girls had a great time playing with the dog and playing on the swing set...they weren't that interested in the stick ball game! :) But they still had a good time getting some sunshine and running around picking pine cones up that we are going to turn into bird feeders! :) Thanks for inviting us out! It was good to see everyone!

Operation Back Pack

Saturday morning we went with my mom to the church to volunteer for Operation Backpack. It is a fundraiser that our church does annually to provide backpacks and supplies to kids in need. The girls did an AWESOME job helping! They were working so hard and Whit was bringing the bags and supplies to Mimi so fast she couldn't even keep up! :-) I love that they can work to serve others at such a young age. Next Saturday we are going down to the Hope Faith Center to hand them out! Love to all!

Uncle Adam and Aunt Amy

The girls have been LOVING their time with Aunt Amy and Uncle Adam...they can't get enought of them :) It warms my heart how much they love them and I am so relieved that the miles between us haven't not made a bit of difference in their bond with each other. I must admit I don't know who has more fun....the girls or me ;) XOXO Love you Amy and Adam

Day Laborers!

My mom and I spent the majority of the day Friday painting the deck at our house in Olathe. Mom and I spent the morning "white washing" and then took a break for lunch before attempting the painting in the blazing afternoon sun. We had a good time even though it was a lot of work. It was especially amusing when we went to get some lunch covered in paint and paint clothes...my mom with her VERY DARK tan looked like she was actually a day laborer. The guy at the sub shop gave us a very strange look and said, "What are you ladies doing today?" after we told him he said "Usually you can find some college kids that will do that kind of work for free pizza!" I wish I knew where those college kids were right about now :-) I still have to finish up but we got a lot done. Thanks Mama! I love you!

MOPS Retreat

Right before we left to come home to KS I went on a retreat with some of my MOPS friends in San Antonio. It was a great time and I am so glad to call all of these amazing ladies my friends. I must say I didn't think there was much in Texas as far as mother nature goes aside from cactus...but that was until I spent time in the "Hill Country" it is really beautiful. The retreat was a success and I came back feeling ready to make the 12 hour drive home alone with my precious girls... and we did it with no problem :) I look forward to seeing all of you at MOPS soon! Love you Ladies!

Girl Time!

We were able to spend time with my dear friend Valerie today and have a playdate with her precious little girl Chloe. It was so great to see them! Val is a close friend from college and we student taught together at the same school. It is just so fun to spend time together as mommy's!!! It seems like yesterday we were heading out on the town in Pittsburg ;)
Love you Val!

The girls are thrilled to be busy playing with Mimi :) She was with them this afternoon and Mal got her camera and took lots of silly pictures while they were baking and playing dress up! So fun! :) Love to all!
