We have been busy having a GREAT time visiting with the best daddy and husband ever! :) Scott was able to make a trip home for a long weekend! Yeah! We had the best time!!!  The girls could not get enough play time with him. We went swimming, to Fritz's, JOCO Childrens Museum, The Farmers Market, Build a Bear and much more...the best time was of course just hanging out together. It was very hard to put him back on a plane today but we are looking forward to his next visit home VERY soon!!! :)

We love you and miss you already Scotty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So....this morning I took Mal to her 2nd VBS of the summer :) Today she is at our home church were my mom works and they are having a Sports themed VBS for Preschool and Kindergarten. I got the biggest kick out of the decorations...check these guys out! I am assuming they are Jesus and some Disciples? Not totally sure but they were a bit hilarious! Maybe they weren't meant to be funny and I apologize if that is the case...but I got a good chuckle!!! :) Mal thought they were pretty cool! :) Anything that gets the kiddos pumped up to learn about the word and the love of Jesus works for me!

Happy Father's Day!!!
We hope that ya'll had a wonderful father's day today! It was of course very bitter sweet for us this year with Scott in the car driving from San Antonio to Alabama today. We did have a wonderful time with Mimi, Papi, Amy, Adam, Leo and Steph but the hole left from Scott's absence was felt strongly by the three of us.
Scotty, We love you so much and miss you every day! We are counting down until we are all together again! XOXOXOXOXOX You are the BEST daddy!!!!!

Love,
Mal, Whit and Sarah

The girls went and had their haircut today! They LOVED it! They both have insisted on growing their hair for so long that it has been quite some time! Mal still wants to be a princess so they took off a couple of inches and then gave her a gorgeous blow dry and curl :) Whit was ready for anything so we got her the cutest little bob! I love them both it just shows off their personalities :)

“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. John 14:11

Yesterday Leo came over to play for the day and we had so much fun taking care of him :) We even made a cute little father's day craft! Love it!

"Now thanks be to God for His Gifts beyond telling!"

The girls have had a total blast swimming this summer! We have pool passes and Scott's parents have a pool in their backyard. The girls got to swim over at Grandma and Grandpas for the first time this year the other day and had a great time! Whit prefers to sit on the steps with me and play toys while Mal prefers to jump off the diving board over and over :)

The girls headed off to their first summer dance class this week! They are doing a 3 week summer session on Mondays and Wednesdays. They are totally in LOVE with it :) They do tap, ballet, and tumbling. It is really cool because it is the same dance teacher my sister and I had...my life long bff Katie and I have some great memories dancing together there as little girls! So special the girls can have the same teacher :)

We got some beautiful sunshine at the park....these pictures say it all :)

For the LORD has told me this: "I will watch quietly from my dwelling place--as quietly as the heat rises on a summer day, or as the morning dew forms during the harvest." Isaiah 18:4

One of the many fun things about being back home....Saturday mornings at Homer's Coffee House....even Leo stopped by ;)

Saddle Ridge Ranch

Last week Mallory went to Vacation Bible School at my life long besties church...her husband Chris is the youth pastor and Katie was one of the coordinators this year. Let me tell you coolest VBS EVER!!!! They totally rocked the whole week and even put on an awesome family night Wednesday night where the girls got to pet horses and they flew in a cool Christian children's performer from Nashville. It was an awesome time and there is nothing like seeing 600 kids having a FANTASTIC time learning about the love of Jesus!!
The girls had a great time dancing to the praise music Wednesday night.
Mal LOVED Saddle Ridge Ranch!

Coop said he needs a nap :) This is Katie's newest little guy!

Baking time :) Yesterday the girls and I made homemade m&m cookie ice cream sandwiches! YUMMY! :)
We had a great time baking and even more fun eating them!!! WE love SUMMER!!!

My Aunt Kathy bought the girls this ADORABLE lemonade stand for Christmas. It came in a big box and needed to be built so we left it here until the summer. My dad built it for the girls the other day and they have been having the BEST time with it :) WE have been going through about a gallon of lemonade a day...we are totally sure where it is all going....this is why it is an outside toy only :)

Thank you Great Aunt Kathy!!!!

The girls and I have arrived safely in Kansas and are slowly getting unpacked and settled. For those of you that don't know Scott's next job assignment is in Alabama. After a lot of prayer we decided the best thing would be for him to go and fly back and forth on weekends. This assignment is only 4-5 months and with a new baby on the way and Mallory starting kindergarten we didn't think it would be in the best interest of our family to make the short to move to Alabama. I can not put into words how much my heart aches with our family being separated. Saying goodbye to Scott on Saturday was on of the hardest things we have gone through. We both know it is the right decision and we will see him a lot and the time will go quickly but it didn't make goodbye any easier. Scott is still in San Antonio finishing up the last few days of his job there and closing out our house. It is so amazing how selfless you become after having children. Of course Scott and I would never chose to be apart and if was just the two of us I would be packing for Alabama right now. But that is not in the best interest of the kids and we feel like God as given us the best job in the world making us their parents and we have to do everything in our power to take care of them in the best way we know how. We would appreciate all of your prayers during these next few months. The girls and I are excited to have time with my family and it is great to be home in Kansas City...but my real home is where the 4 soon to be 5 of us are together.

WE LOVE YOU SCOTTY AND MISS YOU EVERY DAY!
