Scott and I at the Riverwalk the day before we left.

The girls and I have arrived safely in Kansas and are slowly getting unpacked and settled. For those of you that don't know Scott's next job assignment is in Alabama. After a lot of prayer we decided the best thing would be for him to go and fly back and forth on weekends. This assignment is only 4-5 months and with a new baby on the way and Mallory starting kindergarten we didn't think it would be in the best interest of our family to make the short to move to Alabama. I can not put into words how much my heart aches with our family being separated. Saying goodbye to Scott on Saturday was on of the hardest things we have gone through. We both know it is the right decision and we will see him a lot and the time will go quickly but it didn't make goodbye any easier. Scott is still in San Antonio finishing up the last few days of his job there and closing out our house. It is so amazing how selfless you become after having children. Of course Scott and I would never chose to be apart and if was just the two of us I would be packing for Alabama right now. But that is not in the best interest of the kids and we feel like God as given us the best job in the world making us their parents and we have to do everything in our power to take care of them in the best way we know how. We would appreciate all of your prayers during these next few months. The girls and I are excited to have time with my family and it is great to be home in Kansas City...but my real home is where the 4 soon to be 5 of us are together.

WE LOVE YOU SCOTTY AND MISS YOU EVERY DAY!
