So Canada has been pretty  nice to me lately...for the most part ;) Ha!
It was a rough start when she decided to give me the gift of a summer snow storm...WHAT!?

No really...let's just take a moment and reflect....

Seriously y'all...that was not last year pics...that was this summer pics!! YIKES!! I was afraid the last few months of my stay here were going to be ROUGH!! But alas the weather has been GORGEOUS! For quite some time now...and we are soaking it up...

Bentley has been LOVING preschool! Praise the Lord!! He has such a sweet teacher and a nice size class...it is the perfect start for him!

The girls rocked out some American wear in honor of September 11th...Whit wore her "American Girl" sweater from Auntie Amy and Mal chose her Sporting KC hoodie from Mimi (it is her go to shirt of choice) Mal's teacher took a minute to talk about the tragedy and asked Mal "Do you remember that day, how were you affected?" Mal said, "Ummm I wasn't alive!" Hahahahah!! I happen to see the teacher that day and she was cracking up...she said "I am getting old!" :)

(As you can see the cold snow was still lingering at this time)

The girls are doing well! They are loving school dance and gymnastics. Mal is excited to start soccer this weekend! Whit insisted I snap a picture of her in the Frozen outfit Grandma Terri made her! :) How blessed the girls are by the talents of Grandma's sewing!! :)

They had Friday off last week for a Teacher inservice and after we dropped B at preschool we went to Ihop for a fun breakfast! Man I love these monkeys!! :)

Brody joined us as well ;) He seriously ate an entire pancake!! :)
He was a happy guy!!

Speaking of Brody...he is getting SO big!! And SO busy!! I can't believe we are just a few short weeks from his first birthday! He is crawling around and pulling up on everything! Not to mention dumping out everything!! He is so much fun and so happy! He is the best little addition to our family!!

(Tina and Charlie, he is obsessed with this thing! He and B fight over it! Y'alls gift is well loved!)

Bentley is starting to work on more drawing and writing...he has so not been interested and it still is hit or miss but he has his B down now and he drew his first person and then decided to draw the whole family...the girls and I were cracking up!! He is too much!!

This past week was Canadian Thanksgiving...since we won't be celebrating until American Thanksgiving I took the kids class some treats...

Then on Sunday we went out to the "pumpkin patch" they actually can't grow pumpkins here so it is just pumpkins sitting around...and they actually call it a "corn maze" but the corn is dead and shorter than Bentley...I was just cracking up...I remember one time in Pittsburg during college we went to the corn maze and it was seriously 2 feet taller than Scott and we were lost in that thing for hours...I guess the Prairie grows different kind of corn ;) hahahaha!!! I had never thought about it before...
But they did have lots of fun activities and we had a wonderful time!! Good ol' family fun!!

(how funny is this...B was seriously irritated that Brody was on his bowling lane!)

(Words can't express my love for this picture...the sole reason I am in Canada is my love for this man!)

(this is Whitney inside the corn maze)

I miss home...so much! But life is good and we are blessed. Counting our blessings each and every day!! Love y'all!

My precious little man started Preschool!!! I can hardly believe it!!

With an October birthday he is actually older than the girls were...he is in 3 year old preschool even though he will be 4 in a few weeks. It makes my mama heart happy I will have him home for an extra year but he was for sure ready to go off and try something without mama! ;) I was a bit nervous after the "Poltergeist" meltdown he had a "Sneak a Peek" when I went to the parent meeting for 5 minutes...but after spending the next week really pumping him up...He did AMAZING!! We are also doing mom and tot gymnastics as well as 3 year old soccer (pictures to follow starts in 2 weeks)

Bentley,
I love you so much! You are non stop silly, fun, totally crazy energy. You make me laugh, you make my hair gray and I adore you! You complete me!! I pray you always stay as confident and happy as you are right at this moment!! You will fly my precious son, you will soar.

I love you to the moon!!

xoxo

 Back to School

So, my sweet baby girls went back to school! Y'all if you know me at all you know that I BAWL MY EYES OUT every. single year. For real, I want them home with me! The end!

I think this year was hard on all of us.

The girls were sad. Sad they weren't in Kansas. Sad they didn't know the teachers. Sad there were only a handful of friends that could be in their classes.

But I will brag on my girls for a moment, they are AWESOME! Really...truly amazing. I mean I know I am their mom and everything but these girls know how to keep a positive attitude and make the best of everything! I am so not sure who they inherited that from...oh wait...I so do... MY MOM!!! Thank you mom, for yet another thing I am eternally grateful to you for, you are the best!

Anyway, my girls were all smiles excited for the possibilities of what the new year could bring! :) My sweet Mal said to me, "I am a little sad, but being in Canada means being with daddy." Really?! Oh my heart...I love you Mal...and her sweet baby sister follows up with "Yeah we wouldn't want daddy to be lonely and sad." Oh my heart can't take much more...we so desperately want to be gone home but we love Scotty so much we would keep on keeping on wherever he asked us too!! Love you baby!!

So back to school...here we go

Grade 4
and
Grade 2

May the Lord go Before them and Behind them every single day. May their minds grow wiser and their hearts grow with more love. And more than anything I pray they are shining examples of Christ's Love. Thank you Lord for entrusting these precious girls to me!!

In your name,
Amen
